MIHAELA GANEA - Music Director.
Mihaela Ganea has established herself in the New York musical community as an outstanding pedagogue, soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player. Her creativity and devotion to the art of teaching inspires students of all ages and abilities as they take part in her weekly lessons and master classes. Ms. Ganea's students continue to win high marks and top prizes at competitions, appear as soloists with local orchestras and receive scholarships to attend the top music schools in the United States and Europe. Ms. Ganea's 17 years of teaching experience, as well as her passion and love for music, motivated her to found the Ganea Music Academy where she is raising a new generation of well rounded, sophisticated and mature musicians.
ELIZABETH WEISSER - THE NEW GMA VIOLIN and PIANO FACULTY in NYC
With 13 years of music teaching experience, Ms. Weisser has taught violin, viola and piano at numerous schools throughout the United States, including the prestigious Oberlin Conservatory. She has worked as a teaching artist in the New York Public Schools and has taught string and piano classes at the 92nd Street Y and the Masson Elementary School in Lorain, OH. She has been part of teaching residencies in Kentucky, Maine and North Dakota. Ms. Weisser’s teaching influence reached the Phillipines during an Outreach Program in which she taught music lessons and master classes and also took part in multi-cultural exchange events. An experienced chamber music coach, she has worked with various chamber groups for the Northern Ohio Youth Orchestra and New York Youth Symphony. As a former member of the Fargo Moorhead Symphony Education Committee, Ms. Weisser understands the crucial role music education plays in the lives of young people and is committed to provide the highest quality of musical training.
Elizabeth Weisser loves to use music education as a way to inspire creativity and curiosity in each child. She believes that studying music serves as a fantastic vehicle for developing great spatial reasoning, problem solving, as well as a life long love for the arts.
